Maple Bacon Biscuits
One dozen biscuits
Ingredients
- Four cups Farmer Brothers buttermilk biscuit mix
- One and one-half cups of buttermilk
- Six ounces maple syrup
- Six and one-half tablespoons butter, melted
- One-half pound bacon, cooked and diced
- One cup brown sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400˚F.
- In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, melted butter, cooked diced bacon and brown sugar until mixed thoroughly.
- Using a non-stick, 9” x 13” pan, spread mixture evenly in the bottom of pan.
- Place in freezer for five minutes, until set.
- Prepare biscuits per package instructions with buttermilk.
- Space biscuits evenly on top of the mixture.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are fully cooked and biscuit tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven. Let cool for approximately 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
